As we are gradually returning to the office, we may notice the office is not as vibrant as it used to be after an absence of workers for almost two months.  Every place has its own energy, and it isn’t just the same as pre COVID-19 anymore.

As the number of COVID-19 cases doesn’t seem to slow down at all, many workers don’t feel safe going back to office or feel anxiety working in the office with other workers.  Assuring employees with a place to work where they feel safe and secure in their health and mental well-being is more important than ever.

One of our mission is to support office space as a whole, we have been partnering with Coco Service, Inc. to provide office cleaning services.  Coco Service offers Deep Cleaning Service to commercial spaces, and it is one of the hottest service they got inquired as corporations are more committed to provide the safer workplace to employees.

So we would like to discuss about our Deep Cleaning Service and answer some questions on how to disinfect workplaces.

Q1. What services are included in our Deep Cleaning?

Please refer to the Deep Cleaning service chart below.  The rates are determined based on the type and size of the facility.   To inquire rate, please contact us

Q2. Is our Deep Cleaning effective to the COVID-19 virus?

Yes. Regular office cleaning does not include the services applicable to COVID-19 virus. Cleaning, Disinfection, Sterilize, etc… It seems overwhelming to understand the difference, doesn’t it? Disinfection Wipes for home and office use say “Kills 99.9% of Viruses & Bacteria”. The CDC has announced that it is also effective against COVID-19 virus.  Therefore, to get rid of the COVID-19 virus, we need to disinfect or sterilize, not just the regular cleaning.

The sterilization process in our Deep cleaning service uses CDC approved and EPA registered disinfection solutions.

Q3: What should we do if a COVID-19 case is found in the workplace?

If COVID-19 infected persons enter or leave a workplace where there is no nighttime operations,  please isolate the affected area immediately to prevent the spread of infection.  Disinfection/sterilization should be carried out at least 24 hours after the isolation of the space.

Disinfection/sterilization should include all areas that may have been contacted by an infected person (office, restroom, or other shared space).

  • Please note the followings before the disinfection process:  Please wear gloves, eye protection and mask when working in these areas.
  • If the surface to be disinfected/sterilized is dirty, first clean the surface with soap and detergent.
  • Disinfecting requires the use of alcohol or bleach with a concentration of at least 70%. (See below for instructions.)
  • Work in well ventilated conditions.
  • Whether or not bleach can be used depends on the material of the surface. Always check the manufacturer’s instruction before applying the cleaning agents to office furniture.  If you are not sure how to clean your office furniture, please contact us for instruction.  Also, here’s a good resource of how to clean office furniture.  Please check out our past blog on how to clean your furniture.

Q4: What should we use to eliminate viruses?

Disinfectant can be mixed in the following.

1 Gallon of water per 5 Table spoon of bleach, or 950cc of water per 4 Tea spoon of bleach.

Please use only room temperature water.  Mixing chemicals can be dangerous so read the instruction carefully.  Make sure that the surface to clean is bleach-proof before applying it.

Other EPA-registered household disinfectants are also said to be effective according to CDD. Click here for a list.

Q5: How do I disinfect electronic equipment?

Please refer to the manual for each electronic device. If disinfection instructions are not available, please use wipes or sprays containing at least 70% alcohol.  Please do not forget to wipe dry.

To ensure that the disinfection/disinfection process is safe, the EPA has also introduced a 6-step disinfection method.  Please check for your reference.
